A new industry boom is coming to Dundee.  As old North Sea oil rigs become no longer maintainable, they enter a decommissioning phase.  They are removed from the sea and brought onshore to be dismantled.  Dundee is excellently positioned to receive these platforms and has the infrastructure to recycle and dispose of the parts as necessary.

 

Tatha Offshore has a combined 40 years oil and gas industry knowledge and is working hard to ensure that all work is supplied by the local community.  This will boost your local economy and provide better life styles for you and your families.  

 

Job Description:

 

We are looking for ALL QUALIFIED TRADESMEN including technicians and engineers for Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Scaffolders, Welders, Platers and Riggers. 

 

We are also be interested in CV’s of semi or non-skilled personnel for General Assistants.

 

NO OFFSHORE OIL RIG EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.  

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Carry out decommissioning activities including breaking down of equipment, supports/brackets, internal office/accommodation areas and process equipment.

  • Strict adherence to recycling intiatives

  • Follow instructions provided by line management and client.

  • Carry out all work and tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

  • To assist successful delivery of projects, work to meet targets, work within budget and program.

  • Work with projects and clients to help solve complex and challenging problems.

  • Liaise with Project Managers to help deliver projects.

  • Safety leadership – Walk-downs, Presentations and Auditing.

  • Collation and organisation of waste and radiological hazard information.

 

Qualifications And Personal Qualities

  • Apprenticeship or City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 equivalent within a relevant trade discipline (Where Applicable)

  • Relevant previous industry wide experience or hydrocarbon processing operations (Where Applicable)

  • Good standard of written English and the ability to write clear technical reports.

  • Flexible in approach

  • Highly motivated and proactive, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively

  • Interpersonal skills, able to build and develop relationships internally and externally.
